(GSM) – Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes Wayne Rooney will break the 30-goal barrier this season.
The English superstar hit 34 last season and the Scottish manager thinks the best of Rooney is yet to come despite the striker’s lacklustre World Cup display.
“He had an improvement in terms of his timing and movement in the box and his positioning improved,” Ferguson said.
“He got us over 30 goals and if he does that again and adds a bit to his game then that is what we expect.
“The boy has got an incredible armoury of talent.
“But the most important thing he needs is maturity and, when he gets that, you’ll see the complete footballer.”
