This protracted talk of Pele having an edge over Messi is just baseless because Pele himself fails to understand that there is a generation and skills gap between the era he played football and the modern day soccer. Then, everything was slow, the ball heavy, but these days, everything is highly scientific, balls, training methods etc. Pele could have been good during his era, though a certain storky Diego Maradona would argue otherwise, but Messi is the best of his era, period. I’ve not seen videos of Pele that much, the few i saw were laborly, but i see Messi perform his trance on the field, and you just have to fall in love with him and the close control. its like he reads the minds of opponents the way he evades them..love his skills..
