Ferguson planning Wales getaway

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will take his squad to Wales before their clash with Manchester City, according to a report.

With the Manchester rivals separated by just three points at the league’s summit, next Monday’s game at the Etihad Stadium will go a long way to deciding the destination of the title.

And it is thought that the Scot is planning a weekend of seclusion in an attempt to clear his player’s heads in south Wales according to a report in The Sun, after already banning media access in order to cut out any distractions.

Reports have suggested that the 70-year-old has made enquiries to hotels for both Friday and Saturday night, meaning that the Red Devils would arrive back in Manchester on the eve of the derby.

A win for either club would see them top the Premier League table and put them in prime position to be crowned champions.
