Spanish giants Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Lyon full-back Ferland Mendy, according to France Football.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a really good debut season at Parc OL, making 17 league appearances and producing 3 assists in the process.
Having monitored his development from his time at Le Havre, Barcelona have rekindled their interest in Mendy, and their scouts have been impressed with the defender’s performances this season.
With Lucas Digne heavily linked with a summer exit, the Catalans are in the market for a new left-sided defender and Mendy is clearly high on their wish list.
Coming through the youth ranks at Le Havre’s famous youth academy, the left-back has quickly adapted to top flight football and he may soon be leaving les Gones for greener pastures.
