According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Bruno Fernandes’ agent is set to meet with the president of Sporting Lisbon in order to discuss his future with the club. The belief, ever since the start of the summer transfer window, is that Bruno would be leaving the Portuguese side in favour of a move elsewhere: with the Premier League being a likely destination.
As it turns out, Tottenham Hotspur reportedly opened talks with Sporting Lisbon over a possible deal last week, although there were no specific fees that have been leaked or spoken about in the press.
Fernandes is an incredibly talented player but given how many other priorities Spurs have at this stage of the window, you have to wonder whether or not they’re just going to put a pin in this idea until January.
After all, Dybala and possibly Coutinho are going to demand a lot of their attention.
