Fernando Gago hints at Roma stay

Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago reveals that he would like to make his loan move to Roma a permanent one.

The Argentine midfielder arrived on loan to Roma in search for first team football and he now explains his reasons behind the move to Olimpico.

“It was a decision that I made at the last minute,” Fernando Gago was quoted as saying in Leggo.

“I was coming off the back of a difficult season at Real Madrid because of injury. Franco Baldini then offered me this possibility and it seemed a good one.

The 25-year-old has earned a starting place in Luis Enrique’s side and he would like to remain at Olimpico even after his loan deal ends.

“There is a new project here and the possibility to play football. I’m happy, this is a team for me, but my future depends on Roma.”
