Portuguese daily newspaper Record understands that Spanish striker Fernando Llorente has rejected the opportunity to join Premier League outfit Swansea City.
Sporting CP also attempted to recruit the experienced forward, but the Swans offered the player much better personal terms.
However, Llorente eventually decided to reject the proposal from England as he plans to stay and fight for his place at Sevilla.
After struggling for playing time under Unai Emery, the forward hopes he will get a fresh opportunity to impress by new coach Jorge Sampaoli, and it is important to note that his competitor Kevin Gameiro has left the club, while Luciano Vietto joined from Atletico Madrid.
Fernando Llorente only managed 4 goals in 23 league outings last season, while he did well to score 3 goals in 7 European matches.
The 31-year-old was also linked with Juventus and Real Sociedad, but, as things stand now, he could very well be staying at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
