Fernando Torres set for China switch

Atletico Madrid icon Fernando Torres could soon be moving to China, according to Spanish newspaper El Mundo.

Head coach Diego Simeone recently confirmed the striker would not be offered a new deal in Madrid, with his current contract due to expire in June.

But, rather than leaving on a free transfer in the summer, Torres could move to China in the coming days.

Namely, Dalian Yifang are believed to be readying a bid for the former Spain international, as well as his teammate Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.

Chinese clubs have until 28th February to register new players, meaning there is enough time for the double swoop to be completed.
