(GSM) – Feyenoord conceded a goal in injury time to suffer a painful 3-2 defeat in Sunday’s Rotterdam derby at Excelsior.

In their second match after returning to the Eredivisie, Excelsior were determined to give it all they had in the local clash with big brother Feyenoord.

Guyon Fernandez put the home side in the lead on 29 minutes but Feyenoord defender Ron Vlaar balanced the score four minutes before the break. An own goal from Miquel Nelom made it 1-2 in the 75th minute.

But Excelsior refused to give up and Daan Bovenberg leveled another two minutes later, for Fernandez to net the winner three minutes into added time.

NEC Nijmegen beat Willem II in a spectacular encounter in Tilburg, 3-5. Thanks to three goals from Bjorn Vleminckx, one from Lasse Schönen and one from Bas Sibum, NEC are now in second place behind PSV and are the only other team to have won both of the first two games.
