Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad reports that Feyenoord are considering a move for Fiorentina striker Mounir El Hamdaoui.
Boss Ronald Koeman is a huge admirer of the player having coached him at AZ Alkmaar and he is determined to bring him to De Kuip this summer.
And while the Eredivisie giants are not prepared to sign the player outright, they are hoping to agree a season-long loan.
El Hamdaoui has spent last season at Fiorentina, scoring 3 goals in 19 Serie A games, although most of those were substitute appearances.
Given that Mario Gomez, Giuseppe Rossi and Oleksandr Iakovenko have all arrived at Artemio Franchi, the Moroccan cannot hope for more playing time this term and he would probably be interested in a return to Dutch Eredivisie.
The player who has scored 67 goals in 103 Eredivisie matches is also on the radar of Norwich, Vitesse and Twente, among other clubs.
