Feyenoord are showing interest in Anderlecht forward Samuel Armenteros, according to De Telegraaf.
With Graziano Pelle the only out-and-out striker in the squad, boss Ronald Koeman is determined to add another centre forward to the ranks before the summer transfer window closes.
Feyenoord were believed to be keen on Fiorentina flop Mounir El Hamdaoui, but De Telegraaf understands they have turned their attention towards Samuel Armenteros.
Koeman and his coaching staff are well aware of the player’s qualities having watched him in action while at Heracles, and they believe he would be a decent addition to the squad at De Kuip.
Armenteros, 23, joined Anderlecht from Heracles in January 2013, but has since made just four substitute appearances in the Jupiler Pro League.
There are no doubts the Swede would jump at the opportunity to return to Dutch Eredvisie, but it remains to be seen if the two sides can reach an agreement over the transfer fee.
