Feyenoord have opened contract talks with Jordy Clasie with a view to extending his deal which ends in June 2015.
The 21-year-old has developed into a key player at the Rotterdam giants since his return from a loan spell at Excelsior.
Clasie’s good performances have seen him attract interest from several clubs across Europe, including Serie A giants Juventus.
But the Eredivisie side have no intention in cashing in on the midfielder just yet, and have offered him a new deal.
“We are in no rush to reach an agreement as he still has an ongoing deal, but we are talking about a potential contract extension,” sporting director Martin van Geel told Algemeen Dagblad.
“We are preparing for anything that could happen in the future.”
Clasie has made 50 Eredivisie appearances for Feyenoord so far, and made his Netherlands debut in the World Cup qualifier against Turkey earlier this season.
