Feyenoord’s season has come to an abrupt end as the Rotterdam outfit lost their Europa League play-off tie with NAC 7-2 on aggregate. A painful 0-4 defeat at their own stadium left the fans angry and disappointed.

After a 3-2 defeat in the away match, a small win could have been enough for Feyenoord to advance to the play-offs final. But it wasn’t meant to be as Rob Penders put NAC ahead on 31 minutes and Martijn Reuser made it 0-2 eight minutes after the break.

Late goals from Kees Kwakman and Joonas Kolkka eventually made it 0-4.

FC Groningen beat FC Utrecht 4-0 after a 3-3 result in the first leg. The goals came from Marcus Berg (2), Goran Lovre and Tim Matavz. As a result, NAC and Groningen face in the play-offs final for a place in the Europa League.
