Built upon the idea of a couple of football-loving Slovenian friends, Fieldoo has grown into a professional network which offers its services to football players around the globe.
Soccernews.com team has already presented this revolutionizing project in November through the interview with the Fieldoo CEO Klemen Hosta, who had announced the partnership with the Spanish club UD Almeria and also presented the “Fieldoo Challenge” in attempt to help the Spanish club recruit new players in the January transfer window.
Fieldoo has called upon all players to apply for a week-long trial at the Spanish outfit where they will have the opportunity to impress UD Almeria and convince the club into signing them.
After almost three months and more than three thousands applications, Fieldoo has announced that UD Almeria’s coaches have chosen the players who will fly to Andalusia in effort to earn the professional contract with this club.
After a long a thorough analytical process, two players were chosen among all the applicants.
Bjorgvin Stefansson and Mario Guberac will have the exclusive opportunity to impress the club during a week-long training period with premiere players between 17th and 24th January 2016.
Stefansson and Guberac will demonstrate their skills in front of UD Almeria’s coaches and technical staff and will get the chance to sign a contract with the Segunda Division outfit.
The 21-year-old Iceland striker Bjorgvin Stefansson began his career at Haukar where he played 12 matches in 2012 and impressed with 38 goals in the process. After a season spent in BI/Bolungarvik he returned to Haukar in 2015 where he scored 20 goals and managed 5 assists in 21 appearances in the First division.
Stefansson is also a part of Iceland U-21 national team.
Mario Guberac is the Slovenian midfielder who plays for NK Triglav Kranj in the Slovenian second division.
Guberac started his career playing for NK Interblock Ljubljana, the football academy renowned for nurturing some of the finest Slovenian football talents.
This 20-year-old Slovenian midfielder is a player who can also operate in defence. Guberac is currently member of NK Triglav from the Slovenian second division. Guberac has played 14 matches for his team and has managed three assists in the process.
Iceland striker and Slovenia midfielder will join UD Almeria’s team in Andalusia to start their week-long trial in effort to sign the professional contract with the Spanish side.
Fieldoo has thanked all of its users who participated in “The Fieldoo Challenge” and will continue to help their members make progress with their football careers.
Company’s CEO Klemen Hosta had previously revealed that Fieldoo would continue with their challenges and that there is an increasing number of clubs interested in working together with Fieldoo in effort to recruit new players.
“There are more clubs that are willing to go ahead with the challenge. Several high-profile clubs that will be a surprise reveal next year.”
“Our plan is to have a couple of projects every year and it is a great chance for Fieldoo itself to also promote our ideas and projects”, said Klemen Hosta in an interview with Soccernews.com.
