LiverpoolÂ’s manager Rafa Benitez was looking for his first ever win against Manchester United to boost his sideÂ’s confidence for the remainder of the season.
The last time that Liverpool beat Manchester United ay home was in 2001. Rafa joined Liverpool in 2004.
Benitez also hit out at his counterpart for Saturday afternoonÂ’s clash Sir Alex Ferguson after he has criticised Rafa for the ₤20 million that he paid Tottenham Hotspur for Robbie Keane.
