Figo expects ´fantastic´ Champions League decider

Former Barcelona player Luis Figo believes Saturday’s Champions League final will be a ‘fantastic game’.

Figo’s old side meet Manchester United at Wembley in a match that pits the winners of the La Liga and the English Premier League, arguably the two biggest leagues in European football.

Both sides have impressed en route to the final and Figo is just one of many football fans eagerly anticipating the match.

“I think it is going to be a fantastic game,” Figo said.

“Well I think it is a great final with two fantastic teams that deserve to be in the final because they have come a long way to achieving it.”

“Well the best team is the team that is going to win tonight because they are going to get the Champions League title. It’s true that Barcelona play fantastic football but if you don’t win … I think the best is the team that wins the trophy.”

Figo made 172 appearances for Barca, scoring 30 goals, before he infuriated fans of the club when he moved to arch-rivals Real Madrid.

He retired from football in 2009.
