Lazio striker Filip Djordjevic is being linked with a summer move to French Ligue 1, according to L’Equipe.
It was in France that the Serbian forward had made a name for himself, having impressed playing for Nantes, before joining Lazio on a free transfer four years ago.
Djordjevic hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth in Italy, scoring just 11 goals in 68 league outings and he will be leaving the club when his contract expires in June.
Having refused to join Atalanta in January, the 30-year-old was dropped from the first team squad and it is clear he does not have a future at Stadio Olimpico.
According to L’Equipe, his former Nantes boss Michel Der Zakarian is keen on bringing Djordjevic to Montpellier, while few other Ligue 1 sides could join the chase.
