Serie A high flyers Fiorentina are set to wrap up the deal for Liverpool midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeira, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Viola attempted to recruit the talented midfielder in January, but having failed to do so, they are now set to make things right.
Fiorentina officials have flown to Merseyside to close the deal and the official announcement could be made later today.
With his contract at Anfield set to expire, Teixeira will be moving to Artemio Franchi on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old, who had played for youth sides of Sporting Braga and Sporting CP before moving to Liverpool, only made two Premier League appearances for the Reds, albeit impressing during the loan stint with Brighton.
His new employers Fiorentina are priced at 11/10 to achieve a top 3 finish in Serie A and finally clinch Champions League qualification.
