Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf understands that Fiorentina have made an official bid for Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie.
Viola had shown interest in the talented footballer at the start of the season, and after watching him in action on several occasions, the Artemio Franchi outfit decided to make a concrete proposal.
According to De Telegraaf, Viola have submitted a €5.5 million bid for the Netherlands international to Feyenoord sporting director Martin van Geel.
The Dutch giants are not too keen on letting their prized asset leave, but they may be forced to sell in order to get rid of the debt the club is in.
Arsenal and Liverpool have also been keeping close tabs on the 21-year-old, but Fiorentina were the first side to send an official proposal.
Jordy Clasie has scored 5 goals in 60 Eredivisie matches for Feyenoord since arriving from Excelsior, and he even started two 2014 World Cup qualifiers for the Netherlands.
