Fiorentina can beat Bayern – Barzagli

Wolfsburg defender Andrea Barzagli believes his hometown team, Fiorentina, can beat Bayern Munich in next week’s Champions League clash.

The Viola have two draws so far, with Lyon and Steaua Bucharest, in the Champions League.

The 27-year-old said: “Can Fiorentina win at Bayern? I think it’s possible because they’re a solid team that can win at home and away.

“Die Roten are having some problems at the moment, but they do have class and could recover at any moment.”

He added on Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni: “It’s true that Luca isn’t scoring a lot, but he’s a great striker and I think it’s a temporary problem. However, I hope he doesn’t score against Fiorentina.

“Am I disappointed I didn’t join the Viola during the summer? They were my first choice, but I don’t have any regrets.”
