Serie A high flyers Fiorentina have joined the chase for Inter Milan wantaway defender Andrea Ranocchia, Sky Sport Italia can reveal.
It is no secret that the Italy international plans to leave the Nerazzurri in search of first team football, but he has already rejected a couple of offers from English Premier League.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina plan to lure Ranocchia to Artemio Franchi having failed in an attempt to recruit Benfica stopper Lisandro Lopez.
However, Viola could face stiff competition from Liverpool, who are also keen as the Reds have experienced all sorts of defensive problems this term.
Rather than letting the highly rated defender join their top 3 rivals, Inter would prefer to sell Ranocchia to the Premier League side.
The centre-back has quickly gone from hero to zero at Inter Milan, having been awarded the captain’s armband last term, only to lose his place in the side with the arrival of Joao Miranda and Jeison Murillo.
