(GSM) – Fiorentina director of sport Pantaleo Corvino expects coach Cesare Prandelli to stay at the club.

Speculation has mounted that Prandelli might leave La Viola and join rivals Juventus after this season. Fiorentina currently lie 11th in Serie A and suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat away to Catania last night.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Corvino said: “Our owner told Cesare and I in the autumn that he had the intention of going forward with the both of us to complete this project.”

When asked to reveal what Fiorentina’s plans are in detail, Corvino added: “We know that we must go forward following the same path that we traced last year.

“Fiorentina’s objective is always that of being immediately behind the four biggest clubs and getting between them like we have done in recent years.

“Prandelli and I will see the Della Valle brothers after the Coppa Italia semi-final. We have already said as much many times before.

“Both the Coach and I want to continue, and the club does too,” he concluded.
