Fiorentina are on the verge of completing the signing of Chelsea midfielder Marko Marin, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
Viola officials are desperate to keep hold of star player Juan Manuel Cuadrado, but they want to have a replacement ready in case they receive an offer they cannot refuse.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina have all but agreed to sign German midfielder Marko Marin from Chelsea.
The former Germany international has already arrived in Florence to undergo medical tests and chances are the transfer will be made official in the coming hours.
Marko Marin has utterly failed to prove his worth at Stamford Bridge after joining from Werder Bremen two years ago, making just 6 Premier League appearances.
He has shown some promise during a loan spell with Sevilla last term, and helped los Rojiblancos clinch the Europa League title by scoring 2 goals in 12 outings.
