La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan defender Walter Samuel is set to agree a summer move to Fiorentina.
The veteran stopper will be out of contract in June and it is perfectly clear he won’t be offered a new deal at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
La Gazzetta dello Sport has learned that Fiorentina have moved to take advantage of the situation by offering the player a contract worth €1.5 million per campaign.
The same source has suggested that Samuel has all but agreed a summer switch to Viola, with only minor details left to be sorted.
Walter Samuel turned 36 back in March, but having performed at a high level this season, Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella clearly believes he will be a useful addition to the squad at Artemio Franchi.
Fiorentina face Napoli in the Coppa Italia final later today and Viola are available at 5/4 to lift the coveted trophy.
