Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston, currently playing on loan at SD Eibar, has been on the radar of several European clubs willing to make a move for the talented 23-year-old.
Borja has spent his entire career in Atletico Madrid but has been building his reputation playing on loans at Murcia, Huesca, Deportivo La Coruna, Zaragoza and now Eibar.
The talented Spanish international has so far played just one La Liga match for Atletico Madrid who have nevertheless refused to let go of their striker, believed to be a perfect fit of Diego Simeone’s ideal No 9.
Borja Baston has finally bloomed with SD Eibar, having already scored 17 league goals this season and no wonder he has caught the attention of several Europe’s top clubs.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Serie A outfit Fiorentina have stepped up the chase in their efforts to sign the 23-year-old at the end of the season.
Viola have reportedly been following Borja since last year and his successful spell with Zaragoza, when he netted 22 league goals and Mundo Deportivo adds that the Italian club are ready to submit an offer in order to beat the competition and persuade Diego Simeone to sell the product of Atletico Madrid’s academy.
