Fiorentina have denied reports that star midfielder Valon Behrami will be sold in the January transfer window.
The Swiss midfielder was recently linked with a switch to Juventus, but Viola are determined to hold on to their prized asset.
“Behrami is officially not for sale at any price,” club president Mario Cognigni told Sky Sport 24.
“We are proud that our star players attract the interest of some big clubs. However, we are keeping them at the club and don’t want to sell.
“This is not the right time to do any big outgoing transfers.”
Valon Behrami arrived to Artemio Franchi from West Ham a year ago and has since become a key player for Viola.
The Swiss international started 17 of 18 Serie A games this season, having missed one clash through suspension.
The 26-year-old has been attracting a lot of attention with his solid displays this term, but it looks as though he will not be allowed to leave.
Behrami’s current contract does not expire until June 2014, although Fiorentina may not be able to hold on to the midfielder for much longer.
