(GSM) – Fiorentina president Diego Della Valle has asserted that coach Cesare Prandelli would remain with the Florence club next season.

The 52-he year-old Italian coach has been linked with a move to Turin once Alberto Zaccheroni’s contract with Juventus expires in the summer.

“I dont see a problem regarding Prandelli,” said Della Valle to Corriere dello Sport.

“He has one year left in his contract and I see no reason why he should leave, we are very happy with him.”

Prandelli joined the Viola in 2005 and led the Florence outfit to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in the 2007-08 campaign.

Following their qualification to the Champions League, Prandelli lead Fiorentina to the round of 16 from the group stages, which included European heavy-weights like Olympique Lyon and Liverpool.

However, Viola’s campaign ended in despair when they crashed out of the knockout stages on away goals rule, despite winning the second leg 3-2 against Bayern München.
