Fiorentina expect to lose Chiesa

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Fiorentina are expecting to lose their star man Federico Chiesa during the summer transfer window. The Serie A strugglers have had a season to forget over in Italy, and the fact that they could quite easily be losing Chiesa in the next few months will only strengthen their disappointment.

The two main clubs that have been linked with a move for Chiesa are Manchester United and Juventus, but based on how much the player enjoys plying his trade in Italy, you’d have to imagine a switch to the Old Lady would be far more likely than him jumping ship to the Premier League.

It’s been a period of real decline for Fiorentina in the last few years, as once upon a time, they were being viewed as the next big thing in Italian football. Now, they look set for a big rebuilding mission across the next few years.
