Serie A high-flyers Fiorentina are showing interest in Zenit full-back Domenico Criscito, according to Corriere Fiorentino.
With captain Manuel Pasqual entering the closing stage of his career, boss Vincenzo Montella is looking to sign him a long-term replacement.
According to Corriere Fiorentino, Viola have made Zenit’s Domenico Criscito their number one target for the left-back position.
However, even if the player is keen to return to Serie A, his agent recently suggested that Italian clubs could have problems matching his salary.
Domenico Criscito seems to have regretted his decision to leave Genoa for Russian Premier League and he has hinted on several occasions that a return to Italy would appeal to him.
The 26-year-old has made a total of 45 league appearances for Zenit, scoring 3 goals in the process.
His suitors Viola face Sassuolo away later today hoping to further close the gap behind top 3 positions, and they are 10/11 favourites to claim maximum points.
