Serie A outfit Fiorentina are weighing up late bid for West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The 24-year-old only joined the Hammers from Sampdoria last summer, but he has struggled for playing time since and he no longer appears to be in the first team plans of manager Slaven Bilic.
As a result, Fiorentina hope to bring Obiang back to Italian Serie A, and reinforce the midfield department that could be weakened by the potential departure of Milan Badelj.
Viola have done some other business of late as well, securing a loan with an option to buy for Mexican defender Carlos Salcedo, while talented striker Josip Maganjic joined from Hajduk Split.
Fiorentina also expect to cash in on striker Khouma Babacar, who didn’t quite manage to persuade coach Paulo Sousa that he deserves to be given a chance at the highest level.
