Serie A giants Fiorentina are considering a summer bid for Udinese wonderkid Simone Scuffet, Italian daily newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
Viola coach Paulo Sousa does not appear to be quite satisfied with his current goalkeeping options that include Ciprian Tatarusanu and Luigi Seppe, with the latter set to return to Napoli in the summer.
As a result, they have been showing interest in Udinese starlet Simone Scuffet, who shone for Zebrette during the 2014/2015 season.
The 19-year-old has made a total of 27 Serie B appearances during the loan spell with Como, but he probably hopes to play top flight football next term.
It remains to be seen whether he will be given an opportunity to battle Orestis Karnezis for a starting berth at Udinese next term, but Fiorentina are clearly ready to make a move on the talented shot stopper if an opportunity arises.
