ESPN are today reporting that Fiorentina are hopeful of keeping their star man Stefan Jovetic despite suggesting that he may be tempted to leave the club.
Jovetic has been the subject of plenty of rumours in this summer’s transfer window and Juventus are apparently keen on securing his services.
A representative from Fiorentina said: “Jovetic will stay with us next season and the new team will be built around him to entertain the public”
It has been suggested that the Serie A Champions have made a bid for the 22-year-old but it has not been accepted.
Jovetic may want to move to the Italian giants though as they will of course be competing in the Champions League next season. At the age he is, it could be the perfect move for him to develop his career.
However, the Montenegro international will know that first team football is essential and if Juventus do add Robin Van Persie to their squad, he may find himself on the bench on numerous occasions.
The striker has attracted the attention of many clubs after scoring 14 goals in the Italian top flight last season.
His future is still in the balance despite what Fiorentina are saying.
