According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Fiorentina have opened talks with Watford to sign Gerard Deulofeu.
The 26-year-old is now playing down in the Championship with the Hornets after their relegation from the Premier League with many believing that he is capable of thriving at a higher level.
He’s made many great memories for Watford fans to enjoy over the last few years including their run to the FA Cup final, with Deulofeu being the driving force behind their turnaround in the semi-final against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Wembley.
The Spaniard is set to play in Serie A for the first time since his loan spell with AC Milan as he attempts to forge a new path for himself. Fiorentina finished midtable last season and many believe that they could be on track for the same thing, but perhaps Deulofeu is the catalyst behind something bigger for them over the next few months.
