La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Fiorentina are set to launch an assault on Atalanta midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura.
Viola have been keeping close tabs on the 24-year-old for a while, and they finally seem ready to make their interest concrete.
The board of directors is reportedly set to give the green light to start the negotiations with Atalanta that should result in the talented footballer moving to Artemio Franchi.
Having come through club’s famous youth academy, Bonaventura has developed into a key player for Orobici and has been linked with a number of Italy’s top sides last season.
The attacking midfielder, who can also act as a winger, was in fine form last term, having managed 5 goals and 4 assists in 31 league appearances for Atalanta.
Considering that he has another three years left on his deal with Orobici, chances are Bonaventura will not be available on the cheap this summer.
