Italian TV station Mediaset is reporting that Fiorentina could make a move on Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma.
The Argentine footballer has been negotiating a new deal with the Biancocelesti, but the talks seem to have hit a standstill of late.
And with his current contract due to expire in just over a year, Serie A rivals Fiorentina are looking to steal the 31-year-old from under Lazio’s noses.
Viola are somewhat short of quality options in the centre of the park and with both David Pizarro and Massimo Ambrosini being linked with summer exits, they are hoping to lure Ledesma to Artemio Franchi.
The Argentine, who has made a total of 243 Serie A appearances since joining from Lecce, scoring 12 goals, is believed to be tempted by the prospect of moving to Fiorentina.
Lazio play host to Hellas Verona in an attempt to keep their European hopes alive, and the Biancocelesti are 8/13 favourites to claim maximum points.
