Fiorentina are stepping up their efforts to sign Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reports.
Viola are enjoying a very successful season this term seeing they are very much involved in the race for Champions League places, and club officials are eager to help the team continue their recent uptrend.
They are already working on potential summer reinforcements, with Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie one of the first names on their wish list.
The player’s agent Wessel Weezenberg has confirmed to De Telegraaf that he is aware of the reported interest from Florence, but refused to comment further on the transfer talk.
Clasie, 21, has a contract until June 2015 at De Kuyp and has seen his name linked with few other top European clubs as well.
He has exploded onto the biggest stage during last season and has even become a first team regular in the national team under Louis van Gaal.
