Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has suggested that Fiorentina are keeping close tabs on West Ham forward Mauro Zarate.
Viola have reportedly agreed a loan deal with an €8 million option to buy for Barcelona winger Cristian Tello, but they are looking to further reinforce their ranks.
And while Benfica stopper Lisandro Lopez remains high on their hit-list, Fiorentina are also considering a move for West Ham’s Mauro Zarate.
The 28-year-old has had mixed success since moving back to England, and he has been unable to nail down a regular starting berth at Boleyn Ground.
But, having impressed playing for Lazio in Italian Serie A, it is hardly surprising that Fiorentina are hot on his trail.
While bagging 25 goals in 104 league outings for the Biancocelesti, Zarate struggled during a loan spell with Inter Milan, netting two times in 22 Serie A appearances.
He could now get another chance to prove his worth in Italian Serie A, providing Fiorentina can agree a deal with his employers.
