Russian newspaper Izvestia has learned that Spartak Moscow full-back Sergei Parshivlyuk is closely followed by Serie A side Fiorentina.
The same source has suggested that Viola scouts have been watching the defender since the start of the season and they have sent glowing reports to boss Vincenzo Montella.
Fiorentina aim to make their interest concrete in the winter transfer window and they are prepared to offer around €5 million for the 24-year-old footballer.
However, with neither the player nor the club too keen on ending their mutual cooperation, Viola will have to make a huge effort if they want to lure the player to Artemio Franchi.
Parshivlyuk has been one of team’s most consistent performers this season, having played every minute in 7 of 8 Spartak’s league matches.
He has amassed a total of 88 Russian Premier League appearances for the club since he was handed his debut in 2007, scoring one goal.
