Fiorentina lead chase for Falcao; Sahin linked with Anfield return

hot-transfer-newsFiorentina lead chase for Falcao

Daily Mirror has suggested that Serie A high-flyers Fiorentina are weighing up January move for Monaco striker Falcao.

Following an unsuccessful spell with Manchester United, the Colombian joined Chelsea on a season-long loan in the summer, but has since continued to struggle.

After scoring just one goal in nine appearances for the Blues, Falcao is again being linked with a move away from the club.

Namely, Fiorentina have taken a keen interest in his services and will attempt to recruit the forward on a short-term deal in January.

Chelsea will probably be happy to let Falcao leave provided they can sign a replacement, but Monaco would need to give the green light as well.

The 29-year-old is also wanted by former club FC Porto and Spanish side Villarreal, which is enough to suggest that he is still held in high regard by clubs across Europe.

Sahin linked with Anfield return

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin could be returning to Liverpool in the near future, according to Liverpool Echo.

The Turkish midfielder spent six months at Anfield on loan from Real Madrid, starting seven Premier League matches and scoring one goal.

He has since returned to Borussia Dortmund, but missed last eight months through injury and he now faces a battle to return to the starting line-up.

With his former coach Jurgen Klopp moving to Anfield, Sahin is reportedly interested in joining the Reds for a second spell.

It is no secret that the new Liverpool manager is a big fan of the 27-year-old footballer, meaning that a January deal can not be ruled out.

Since returning to Signal-Iduna Park, Sahin has made 56 Bundesliga appearances and scored 6 goals in total.

Russian starlet in high demand

Russian daily newspaper Izvestia is reporting that top European clubs are keeping close tabs on Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Aleksey Miranchuk.

The 20-year-old is widely regarded as the hottest prospect to have come out of club’s youth academy in recent years and he has already left his mark at senior level.

Miranchuk has so far amassed 41 league appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow, while he has two Russia caps to his name.

According to Izvestia, top clubs from Spain and France have been scouting the attacking midfielder this season.

The talented footballer was under close inspection in the Europa League clash against Skenderbeu Korce as well as the local derby against Spartak Moscow last weekend.

But, with Miranchuk yet to nail down a regular starting berth at Lokomotiv, chances are he will remain with his current employers for a while longer.
