Fiorentina lead race for Torreira

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian side Fiorentina are leading the race to try and sign Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira. While he has had a few bright moments during his tenure at the Emirates, many don’t really believe that he is going to be heavily featured in Mikel Arteta’s plans moving forward. If that does prove to be the case, which seems likely, then Fiorentina are ready and waiting to be one of the first teams to make some sort of official offer.

They aren’t the only ones in the running, though, with Atletico Madrid and Torino also making their interest known.

The Gunners would love nothing more than to get a decent transfer fee in their back pocket, especially after it was reported earlier this week that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could well be on the verge of signing a new deal with the club in the near future.
