Serie A giants Fiorentina are hot on the trail of Club Brugge defender Stefano Denswil, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Viola are looking to seriously reinforce the squad in the summer transfer window, and the Dutch defender is the latest footballer on their radar.
Fiorentina have agreed a deal in principle with the 23-year-old centre-back, but their initial €3 million bid was rejected by Club Brugge.
Considering that Denswil has a deal until June 2018 in Belgium, his current employers are under no pressure to sell this summer, which definitely complicates things for the Serie A club.
Stefano Denswil came through Ajax’s famous youth academy, but he was never given a chance to impress at Amsterdam ArenA, making mere 22 league appearances for the Dutch giants.
He has since proved his worth at Club Brugge and is now set to realise a big club move via an alternative route.
