The Italian maverick Mario Balotelli is nearing the end of the ride with Ligue 1 outfit Nice and his agent Mino Raiola is working around the clock to assess all the possible options that are currently being presented in front of the former Manchester City and Liverpool forward.
Balotelli has managed to shake off his notorious reputation in France and gain plenty of attention from Serie A having taken his goal tally to 18 in Saturday’s win over Caen.
A couple of sides such as Juventus and Napoli are already pushing forward as summer market approaches and the last club in line to join the Mario Balotelli chase are Fiorentina. Balotelli has been pictured talking to Viola director of football Panteleo Corvino who is trying to convince Mario to move to Florenze.
Balotelli’s €5 million yearly wages seem to stand as the biggest roadblock at the moment, however. Fiorentina are ready to offer him around half that amount, it is reported. Viola are, however, willing to present Balotelli with a regular first-team berth that could increase his chances of getting back in the national team with Roberto Mancini now appointed the new head coach.
