Fiorentina could allow Federico Chiesa to leave the club this summer if a suitable offer arrives, club president Rocco Commisso has told Sky Sports.
Son of former Italian striker Enrico Chiesa, the young winger is a product of Fiorentina’s academy who was promoted from the youth setup into the first team back in 2016. His talent has not only attracted the attentions of numerous potential suitors, but has also seen him play 17 times so far as a senior Italy international. In 2019/20, he found the opposition net 11 times and produced nine assists in 37 appearances in all competitions for the Viola as the team finished their Serie A campaign in 10th place.
Commisso says the club would love to keep the player at the Artemio Franchi stadium past this summer, but also allows for the possibility that Chiesa decides he wants to leave. In that case, they would be willing to do a deal, but their valuation of his services must be met with an adequate offer. The 22-year-old shouldn’t be short on options, though his contract still has two years to run.
