Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Fiorentina have moved to the front of the queue for Atalanta midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura.
The likes of Lazio, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen are all keen on his services, but it appears Viola lead the chase at the moment.
And while Atalanta are holding out for €10 million, Fiorentina plan to lower the asking price by including one of Marko Bakic, Rafal Wolski or Khouma Babacar in the deal.
The 24-year-old is widely considered as one of league’s top attacking midfielders and he has been linked with quite a few of Italy’s top clubs.
Some impressive displays in Serie A helped the talented footballer break into the national team set-up, although he did miss out on Cesare Prandelli’s World Cup squad.
Bonaventura has made a total of 129 league outings for Orobici after coming through the youth ranks in Bergamo and scored 23 goals.
