Serie A outfit Fiorentina have completed the signing of Argentine defender German Pezzella from Real Betis.
Viola announced the news on their official website, recruiting the player on loan with an option to buy, believed to be €10 million.
“ACF Fiorentina announce they have signed on loan, with an option to buy, the sporting rights of player German Pezzella from Real Betis Balompie,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
German Pezzella, 26, was virtually ever present for Real Betis last season, making 36 La Liga appearances for the club.
The Argentine centre-back had joined los Verdiblancos from River Plate two years ago and he quickly nailed down a regular starting berth.
Pezzella represented Argentina at various youth levels, but he has yet to be called to the senior side.
