Serie A high flyers Fiorentina have announced the signing of Greek midfielder Panagiotis Kone from league rivals Udinese.
The transfer was completed just ahead of the transfer deadline and the highly rated footballer arrives on loan until the end of the season with option to buy.
Viola were looking to reinforce the midfield area after Mario Suarez had joined Watford and they did well to secure the signature of the Greece international.
And with his career at Udinese plagued by injury, Kone, too, will relish a new start and an opportunity to prove that he is ready to play at the highest level.
The 28-year-old enjoyed several very successful campaign with Bologna before moving to Fruili, catching the eye of top Italian clubs in the process.
After showing some promise during his first season at Udinese, Kone went on to make just five league appearances in the current Serie A season.
