Serie A high-flyers Fiorentina are hoping to tie down their key players to new long-term deals, reports La Nazione.
Viola have been investing heavily in the playing squad over the years and in turn managed to close the gap behind Italy’s top sides.
And now when their key players are catching the eye of top European clubs, Fiorentina officials are working hard on keeping hold of them for as long as possible.
La Nazione has learned that star midfielders Juan Cuadrado, who is co-owned with Udinese, and Borja Valero are first in line for new contracts.
Fiorentina also hope to offer one-year extensions to veteran footballers David Pizarro and Massimo Ambrosini, as their current deals are due to expire at the end of the season.
Following the derby win over AC Milan, Viola sit seven points behind third-placed Juventus, with Vincenzo Montella’s side 7/2 to achieve a top 3 finish this season.
