Fiorentina are set to open talks with Palermo over attacking midfielder Josip Ilicic, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Viola officials will be quite busy in the summer transfer window as the squad at Artemio Franchi are set to undergo serious changes.
They are first set to meet with Palermo to speak about Emiliano Viviano, Giulio Migliaccio and Josip Ilicic.
Fiorentina will inform the Rosanero that they will not exercise the option to sign goalkeeper Viviano on a permanent deal, but they will attempt to make Migliaccio’s loan deal permanent.
Meanwhile, Viola officials plan to wrap up the deal for highly rated midfielder Josip Ilicic, who has already expressed his interest in joining Fiorentina.
The Slovenian midfielder is set to leave Palermo after the Rosanero were relegated to Serie B, with Fiorentina leading the chase for his signature.
Ilicic, 25, has clocked up 35 Serie A appearances for Palermo this season and registered no less than 10 goals.
