Il Corriere dello Sport claims that Fiorentina defender Gonzalo Rodriguez has emerged as a target for several Serie A sides.
The 32-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and he has been offered a new deal worth €1.4 million per campaign, which is 25% less than what he is currently earning.
Rodriguez has made it clear that he would only sign a new contract if terms remain unchanged, meaning that he could be leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Sampdoria have joined the chase for the Argentine as former Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade wants to get reunited with the centre-back at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
The same source claims that Inter Milan and AS Roma are also in the mix, as they will both be in the market for defensive reinforcements at the end of the season.
