Fiorentina suffer setback in attempts to keep hold of Cuadrado

Fiorentina star Juan Guillermo Cuadrado has rejected the latest contract offer from the club, Tuttosport can reveal.

Viola somehow managed to keep hold of the highly rated winger this summer despite interest from Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain and they are currently in talks with the player’s agents over a contract extension.

However, the latest reports are enough to suggest things are not going according to the plan, seeing as how Cuadrado is not satisfied with club’s latest proposal.

While the Colombian currently pockets around €1.2 million per season, he has been offered a yearly wage of €2 million that would increase every year, in addition to various performance related bonuses.

However, Cuadrado reportedly wants a bigger starting wage and he is definitely in a position to negotiate a good deal for himself taking into account the amount of interest in his services from top European clubs.
